For myself, I believe my decision and journey towards NLP started when I met one of the associate trainers, from him I learned so much about the benefits and possibilities of NLP. The decision to do the course was primarily fueled by Acme Achievers’ holistic approach to influence where it where it could be used not only at work and also at home and on yourself.
Before embarking on the NLP Practitioner Certification program in Singapore, I didn’t know what to expect and I kept an open mind to the possibilities of more. This is because most of the time people who kept an open mind are always able to learn and grow more.
Since the start of the NLP course, the NLP trainer continually promotes an environment for learning by encouraging participation and the sharing of learnings between the course participants. The added benefit is that I also got to know more people who were also keen to learn and share their experience.
During the NLP Practitioner Certification program, I have learned a lot about the human mind and also about myself. Having to face my blind spots, negative thoughts and negative actions, the trainers have equipped me with tools to overcome them by leveraging on the sub-conscious mind. With these tools, I personally have been able to be in better control of my emotional state. I have also learned the art of setting goals and also with the help of sub-modalities strengthen the drive and desire to achieve them.
The most exciting part for me was definitely the influence portion; the ability to influence with just words is invaluable. I have learned that by building rapport in a systematic way and speaking in a certain pattern, I can get agreement and influence the other party. Another thing I picked up was to read eye patterns to understand the representation system of the other party which is also linked to the choice of speech to use.
I’m glad that the trainers also educate and promote the ethical use of the tools and techniques used as these are very powerful influence skills, and they intent of the tools and techniques is to help others positively.
Overall, through the course I have gotten a better understanding of the world and myself. It has also enforced my belief that we have to take ownership of our life and the success and quality of life is solely dependent on our choice to make it so.
I strongly encourage everyone to commit to learn, improve and grow. This Singapore NLP course has blown my mind and enabled me to see events and people more clearly.
